But why is everyone surprise? it has all been covered on this forum a number of times but it takes this long for the media to cover just one case. Even ABC had a report on all the fake Indian visas and passports they come across. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=268&p=549&hilit=Au ... cials#p549

There are tons of fake doctors and other professionals all working in the Australian system right now and many from India and Pakistan and other 3rd world and Middle Eastern countries. They come in through our pathetically weak immigration system where anyone can get in with dodgy paperwork which can be done by an agent for a couple of thousand.

They can all be found swarming around hopeful immigrants on the Australia Forum com. That place is like a cockroach infestation of leaches feeding off each other. It's a wonder the place is allowed to continue but there are many more similar places online where potential immigrants all gather where dodgy agents from their homeland push them through all the loops.

ABC covered this briefly but there is so much more going on that the general public have no idea how easy it has been for anyone to come here, get a job in a top IT company or public service job with a fake resume and a dodgy visa. In fact Australia is known in 3rd work countries as the easiest place to suddenly become a doctor or a top IT worker etc by just paying a few people on fiver to make them resumes and fake Social accounts on LinkedIn etc and get here take our best jobs. We are the laughing stock of the undeveloped world along with all the terrorists from the Middle East to come here to breed and get on Centrelink.

A fake doctor who worked for more than a decade in Sydney and on the Central Coast is believed to have fled the country.

Shyam Acharya allegedly used another person's name and medical qualifications to become registered in NSW.

He worked at Manly, Hornsby, Wyong and Gosford hospitals from 2003 to 2014 after assuming the identity of doctor Sarang Chitale.

Mr Acharya allegedly stole documents while living in India and used them to register with the Medical Board of NSW, the NSW Health deputy secretary Karen Crawshaw revealed yesterday.

Mr Acharya has been charged by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and faces being fined up to $30,000.

However, it's not clear if he will face court because it's believed he is overseas, Health Minister Brad Hazzard said today.

It was "disturbing" Mr Acharya got through border protection with a false passport after assuming the identity of a doctor in India, Mr Hazzard said.

He will raise the issue at this month's COAG Health Minister's meeting to ensure checks and balances are in place at a national level so the ruse can't be repeated.

"The Ministry of Health has advised me there have been substantial changes since 2003 in the checks that are made, but I want health to revisit the issue and make absolutely certain that the new federal registration process operating since 2011 is as scrupulous as can be," Mr Hazzard said in statement.

"I have also directed the Ministry of Health to look at every aspect of registration to make sure that NSW Health has done whatever it can to look beyond fake passports with particular reference to going back to primary documents from country of origin."

AMA NSW president, Prof Brad Frankum told AAP it was "a worry (Acharya) was able to fool the system for so long".

"It was a long time ago that the person faked their way in ... and the system is more robust now than it was."

Prof Frankum said the accreditation process from medical colleges today was very rigorous for doctors from overseas.

He is just one of thousands of fake resume holders from 3rd world countries. ABC exposed the many fake resume and visa holders who come here each year with the several hundred thousand of other immigrants that get visas fast tracked with our pathetic immigration system that hand out visas like confetti.
