  • Living in Australia
Living in Australia is something many people around the world seek to do. Australia is one of the most popular places to immigrate to because we have such a laid-back and rich lifestyle, a strong economy along with a fair and consistent Government system.

A thread called “Australia Visa Options” is helpful for those looking at moving here with a number of issues covered.

Moving and taking up a life in Australia can be a great experience. Australia is the sixth largest country in the world but it is only home to around 22 million people which is smaller than many other large countries with much denser populations. The Australian landscape remains mainly untouched as a lot of the area is in very hot or desert like conditions. Even in the regions where it has good climate there is a lot of country, vegetation and natural surrounds especially out of the cities.

Australia is home to a large range of wildlife and nature and there are many species of animals and plants that are only found in Australia. The immense beauty of the country’s wilderness along with the large amount of wildlife is part of the country’s most famous assets.

Moving to Australia allows one to find a good quality of life. Life expectancy is high and stress is relatively low when compared with other countries in the world.

Australia is a very popular expat destination to take up residency and is considered to be one of the best places in the world to live because of its high standard of living, low population density and the clean, unpolluted places to live.

Medicine and Healthcare Cost in Australia

A lot of expats living in Australia won’t be permanent residents and therefore won’t be able to qualify for Medicare, which is the national Government run health insurance coverage. However, healthcare in Australia is of a high standard and is extremely affordable even if you are not eligible for Medicare.

Education Costs in Australia

Those wishing to movie to Australia with children will be happy to know that the public school system is accessible, relatively cheap and of high standards.

A good place to get general prices on costs to live in Australia can be found on the Living Costs thread. Overall though, Australia is an affordable place to live and if you have a job then you can do quite well especially if you also eligible for Superannuation which is designed to help retires become self-funded.

Australia remains a beautiful country to live. A visa to work or live here is highly sought after. Those of us lucky enough to have been born here or lived here for most of our lives realise how lucky we are. From the inviting beaches and waters to the amazing landmarks from outback wonders, amazing wild life and animals to a vast range of cultures, Australia is one place you ought to at least visit once in your life. Like many though, you will want to make it your home!
